It was our pleasure to have the famous and devoted Fine Art teacher, Rita Mekanna at our gallery for an amazing and very interesting Art workshop. In addition, we are so pleased to view that the participants enjoyed it to the most by creating beautiful paintings and having a glass of wine.
About the instructor:
Born in Beirut, Rita studied decorative arts and acquired in 1998 a Master degree in Fine Arts from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts, University of Balamand (ALBA). A devoted teacher of arts, she has cumulated more than 25 years of experience in the education field. To share her passion for creativity and arts, Rita coordinates many art events and theater decoration, in addition to teaching history of arts in many reputable schools in Beirut-Lebanon, Dubai-UAE and Cyprus, namely “College Notre-Dame de Jamhour, Collège St Grégoire-Beirut, Lycée Libanais Francophone in Dubai, YWCA, C&E College”…
Rita invests her wide experience in visual arts by giving art lessons to talented people from all ages who are interested in learning. She is the Founder of L’ Atelier des Beaux-Arts. Between 2005 and 2008, she animated on local TV channel (New TV) the “Young Artist” program, which was also broadcasted worldwide via Satellite. Rita is a member of the Lebanese Association of Artists-Painters, the Teachers’ Syndicate and the House of Lebanon Art group. She has participated since 2003 in various international competitions, collective and individual art exhibitions.
